Is This You?
You need targeted, outside judgment on a specific technical decision, without bringing someone in long-term.
Your engineering team is growing faster than your processes can handle.
You have a leadership gap at the Director, VPE, or CTO level and need someone in the seat while you hire.
You’re a founder or exec who needs a senior technical thought partner.
Your team is shipping but the culture, practices, or architecture need a reset.
You have strong technical leadership and need a complementary senior perspective for a critical initiative.
My Engagement Types
Advisory Support
Project-based. Targeted guidance for strategic planning, team health, technical decisions, or a specific initiative.
Fractional Leadership
1–3 days/week. Ideal for scaling teams or covering an open Director, VPE, or CTO role on a part-time basis.
Interim Leadership
Full-time, short-term. For critical delivery periods or transitions that need full attention for a defined window.
Definitions
“Fractional” is a term used when a company brings in an experienced professional, like a VP of Engineering or CTO or Director, on a part-time basis, rather than hiring them full-time.
In casual use, 'fractional' often gets stretched to cover interim or advisory work too, the way 'Kleenex' stands in for tissues generally. See the comparison chart below for the actual distinctions.
It’s common in leadership, finance, legal, and tech roles where a team needs expertise but not for 40+ hours a week on a ongoing basis.
