The Challenge

A CPTO managing both product and engineering at a growing scale-up needed a trusted technical counterpart and a coach. Someone who could not only provide leadership coaching, but also go deep on architecture, data infrastructure, engineering standards, and strategic decisions. The original engagement was scoped for one month with an expected taper to coaching-only. Instead, as the business entered a critical growth period, the scope grew.

I operate at the intersection of technical depth and organizational development. On the technical side I review architecture decisions, data models, and high-stakes pull requests, and advise on infrastructure scaling and data pipeline strategy. On the people side I serve as a thought partner to the CPTO on tradeoffs including technical, organizational, resourcing decisions, and developing internal leadership capability over time.
