Hi, I’m Boomie.

I’m a senior engineering leader with over 20 years of experience helping organizations build scalable platforms, grow high-performing teams, and lead through change with clarity, empathy, and intention. I specialize in guiding companies through moments of growth, transition, and transformation whether you're a startup preparing to scale, a nonprofit navigating complexity, or a midsize company resetting its engineering culture.

My leadership spans startups, scaleups, and global enterprises, including NPR, Capital One, and Accenture. I’ve led teams ranging from 4 to 40 engineers, contributed to platforms that scaled to millions of users, and delivered systems that processed hundreds of millions of transactions with reliability and resilience including infrastructure that’s still in active use more than 15 years after launch.

I co-founded a fitness tech startup that reached over 3 million users, blending gamification and wellness in a way that gained national recognition. I’ve also driven DevSecOps transformations and led org-wide security initiatives in regulated industries like healthcare and energy — often in the absence of formal security teams.

I offer fractional VP/CTO services, engineering advising, and career and leadership coaching. I work with companies that care about scaling without compromising values, and with individuals growing into their first leadership roles. I’m also an experienced speaker, a board member for two nonprofits (including one focused on advancing girls and women in STEM), and an adjunct professor who believes learning should be joyful and actionable.
